Associate Professor
Małgorzata Domagalska, completed her degree in Polish philology at the University of Lodz, but the essential range of her research interests became the Jewish issue, specifically the problematic of nationalism and antisemitism in Poland from the end of the 19th century. She defended her doctoral dissertation on this topic in 2001 at the University of Lodz. In 2004 the Jewish Historical Institute published her book Antysemityzm dla inteligencji? (Antisemitism for the intelligentsia?), which received positive reviews within Poland and abroad. In 2015 the editing house Neriton in Warsaw published her new book devoted to the antisemitic prose in Poland at the turn of 19th and 20th century titled Zatrute ziarno. Proza antysemicka na łamach „Roli” (1883-1912) [Poisoned Seed. Anti-Semitic Prose Published in the Rola Weekly (1883–1912)]. For this book she received Maria and Łukasz Hirszowicz Award from the Jewish Historical Institute in 2016 and she was nominated to the Prof. Tadeusz Kotarbiński Award from University of Lodz for the outstanding work in the Humanities field.
She worked for “Survivors of the Shoah” Steven Spielberg Visual History Foundation.
Current position: Associate Professor at the Department of Positivist Literature and the Young Poland Period, Faculty of Philology, University of Lodz.

- 2006 – The book “Antisemitism for Intelligentsia” was nominated for “Polityka” weekly and Jerzy Giedroyc Award.
- 2006 – Receiving grant from The Vidal Sassoon Center for the Study of Anti-Semitism at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem for the realization of the project: Antisemitic Popular Novel in Poland at the beginning of 20th Century.
- 2016- Receiving Hirszowicz Award from the Jewish Historical Institute for the book Zatrute ziarno. Proza antysemicka na łamach „Roli” (1883-1912) [Poisoned Seed. Anti-Semitic Prose Published in the Rola Weekly (1883–1912)]
