1. Student ID Card
Students may obtain a student ID card in the form of:
- an mStudent ID (mLegitymacja), available in the mObywatel app (only for persons with a PESEL number)
AND/OR - an electronic student ID card (plastic card)
mStudent ID – mLegitymacja (free of charge)
- issued free of charge to students with a PESEL number
- available in the mObywatel app
- to order an mStudent ID, log in at usosweb.uni.lodz.pl and go to the “mLegitymacje” section under the student tab
- Important: this option will be available from 1 October 2026, once you have accepted the student oath and the statement concerning fees in USOSweb
Plastic Student ID Card (subject to a fee and issued only upon the student’s request)
- available to students who do not have a PESEL number, as well as—upon request—to students with a PESEL number who wish to receive a plastic card
- the issuance fee is PLN 22, payable to the Faculty of Philology’s bank account:

Payment reference: student ID card fee – student’s full name and degree programme
Please email proof of payment (generated as a PDF file from your bank’s website) and a personally signed application form (the application form applies only to students with a PESEL number) to the Office staff member responsible for your degree programme. A list of email addresses is available at filolog.uni.lodz.pl/strefa-studenta/international-students-office.
The documents must be submitted no later than 18 September 2026.
⚠️ Students wishing to use the student car park or the self-service cloakroom must have a valid plastic student ID card. Information concerning the car park and cloakroom will soon be available at filolog.uni.lodz.pl/strefa-studenta.
Students with a PESEL number may choose both forms of student ID. Students who already have a plastic student ID card do not need to obtain a new one. They may only order an mStudent ID through USOSweb.
Explanation: An electronic student ID card is a plastic document with an embedded processor and contact chip.
2. Student Oath and Statement Confirming Familiarity with the University of Lodz’s Terms and Conditions for Charging Fees for Educational Services
The option allowing students to accept the oath and statement electronically through USOSweb will become available after 24 September 2026.
3. Inauguration of the 2026/2027 Academic Year
The inauguration ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 29 September, in Lecture Hall A1 at the Faculty of Philology, located at 171/173 Pomorska Street.
Two sessions have been scheduled for first-year students from the respective bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes. Each session will conclude with a special lecture delivered by an academic from the Faculty of Philology. Details are available here.
