I went to see The Odyssey with a dual identity: that of a cultural studies scholar, professionally sceptical of Hollywood adaptations of classics, and that of an ordinary viewer who simply wants to be swept away by cinema, notes Prof. dr hab. Jarosław Płuciennik, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, a cultural studies scholar, literary scholar, cognitivist and a historian of ideas from the Department of Theory of Literature at the Faculty of Philology, University of Lodz.
