Dr Emil Sowiński's winning dissertation entitled Studio Filmowe im. Karola Irzykowskiego w latach 1981–2005 — polityka programowa i kultura produkcji na tle przemian instytucjonalnych polskiej kinematografii was written under the supervision of Prof. Konrad Klejsa.
The award ceremony will be held on 26 October at the Collegium Novum Hall of the Jagiellonian University.
It should be underlined that this is yet another honour for Dr Sowiński for his scientific work. In the past, two master's theses he has authored were appreciated. In 2017, he received the Award of the Marshal of the Lodz Voivodeship for the best master's thesis thematically related to the Lodz Voivodeship, and in 2018 – the Prof. Ewelina Nurczyńska-Fidelska Award for the best master's thesis in the field of film education/history of Polish cinema.
