Coordination of the team in scientific, teaching and organisational matters
My responsibilities include:
-directing the Department of Russian Literature and Culture;
- substantive supervision of the Department's staff;
- conducting classes (master's seminars, conversation classes, optional subjects)
- participating in organisational work for the Institute and Faculty
BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
I am a titular professor. I work in a research and teaching position.
In 1985 I graduated in Russian philology at the University of Łódź and defended my MA thesis on popular literature in Russia in the 18th century under the supervision of Prof. E. Małek.
In 1993 I received my doctoral degree at the University of Lodz in Russian literary studies on the basis of my dissertation ‘The cases of Ivan the merchant's son’ by Ivan Novikov. A monographic analysis against the background of the literary culture of the Russian Enlightenment, written under the supervision of E. Malek.
In 2004 I received the degree of Doctor of Humanities in the field of Russian literary studies on the basis of the dissertation From studies on theoretical-literary consciousness in eighteenth-century Russia (based on prefaces, introductions, dedications)
I received the academic title of professor in 2016. The basis for the promotion application was, among other things, a monograph entitled ‘The Felician Cycle’ in Russian poetry of the late 18th - early 19th centuries
From 2012 to 2020, I served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Philology
From 2020 to 2024 I served as director of the Institute of Russian Studies
Since 2018, I have served as head of the Department of Russian Literature and Culture
I am the deputy chairman of the 1st Faculty of the Lodz Scientific Society. I am a member of the Polish Russian Studies Society and the Polish Society for Research on the Eighteenth Century
Since 2016, I have been an expert of the Polish Accreditation Commission

ACHIEVEMENTS
My scientific output includes more than 130 items, including: eight monographs, 7 edited or co-edited books, more than 90 scientific articles, 10 review texts and other studies, such as theses, communications. I have also written over a dozen editorial reviews of published books. Publications have appeared both in prestigious national journals and periodical publications abroad - in Russia, Germany, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Spain.

I was the 2015-2023 contractor of the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities project No. 0100/NPRH4/H1a/83/2015 (2015-2022) on the topic: ‘The literary culture of Łódź up to 1939’.
I am currently a contractor of the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities project NPRH/DN/SP/0221/2023/12 on the topic ‘Daily life of an industrial city in the light of the columns of the Łódź press from 1863-1918’ (implementation period 2024-2029)
