"Introduction to Teaching for Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion" Workshop (UNIC)

We encourage academic teachers from the University of Lodz to participate in the international workshop "Introduction to Teaching for Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion," organised by the UNIC Alliance. The meetings will be held online and in English. Registration is required by 20 January of the current year. UNIC creates opportunities to build a transnational educational community – join it now!

What can you learn?

After this workshop you will be able to:

  • articulate how your cultural identity relates to inclusive teaching practice,
  • describe core principles for designing and facilitating equitable learning,
  • design experiences that foster students’ growth mindset, agency, and belonging,
  • appraise how JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) principles inform your teaching practice,
  • connect with colleagues in interdisciplinary dialogue to share practical ideas and approaches,
  • propose a teaching intervention or assignment redesign.
     

The workshop will be attended by university teachers from UNIC partner schools in Belgium, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Turkey. The event participants will work in an international and interdisciplinary environment, learning about current approaches to equity, equality, diversity and inclusion in academic teaching. The workshop will not be recorded. A reading assignment and a plenary discussion will be included.
