Nothing lasts forever, the things and ideas surrounding us disappear beyond the event horizon, the transience accompanies man at every step, leaving a sense of loss and nostalgia.
Art Education students in the field of visual arts at the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź, privately friends, got united under the common banner of nostalgia, in the common feeling that something had been taken from them forever. Each and every one of them experienced this sweet and salty feeling.
The exhibition is a collection of original stories about the feeling of loss. The authors of the works are not looking for sympathy though. The exhibition is a pretext for discussion and sharing one's own story about what was taken away, lost, what we do not have forever and ever.
The exhibition will include spatial objects, workshop graphics, photographs and photographic collages, charcoal drawings, painting and film. There are motifs of personal history about unintentionally hurting loved ones, about the female body and contemporary feminism, about light and darkness in the symbolism of Slavic mythology, about the physicality of transience and transience of places, about the memory of places of alternative culture.
Artists whose works will be presented include: Michał Adamczyk, Mikołaj Balcerek, Alicja Dudzińska, Wojciech Kubiak, Oliwia Nowakowska.
At the same time they are the curators of the exhibition.
The project is supervised by dr hab. Barbara Kaczorowska (the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź).
An additional advantage of the exhibition is the fact that the works in the form of audio description and typhlographics will be accessible to people with special needs. The objects were prepared by another group of students of the Academy.
